17/01/1939 L9149 Anson Mk.1 Operated by No.9 E+RFTS. Whilst on a cross country training flight routing R.A.F Ansty-Hamble-Cardiff Pengam-Coventry flew into cloud covered mountain.
06/07/1939 ???? Anson Mk.1 Operated by No.217 Sqdn, Coastal Command/R.A.F Tangmere. Force landed on Sker Beach near Porthcawl.
03/08/1939 L7239 Hawker Hind
Operated by No.614 Sqdn/Pengam
Suffered engine failure on taking off and whilst making an emergency landing  crashed and overturned at Pengam.
15/08/1939 ???? Henley
Operated by No.3 SFTS/Newton Down.
Overran runway on landing and hit hedge.
10/09/1939 N6135 Sunderland Sank in Angle Bay, Pembrokeshire.
19/09/1939 L4256 Wellington B.1 Operated by No.75 Sqdn/R.A.F Harwell. Aircraft ran out of fuel and aircrew abandoned aircraft near Glynneath after aircraft had become lost due to bad weather.
18/09/1939 L2165 Sunderland Stalled in attempted landing at Pembroke Dock and suffered damage.
10/10/1939 L1219 Blenheim IV Whilst en-route from R.A.F Bicester on a cross country training flight, aircraft ditched near Port Eynon.
08/11/1939 P4848 Blenheim IV Whilst en-route from R.A.F Perth to R.A.F St Athan, the aircraft flew into a hillside in Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland.
10/11/1939 L2007 Hurricane 1
Operated by 11 Group Pool Flight.
Aircraft flew into the seashore 1 mile South of St Athan after a night take off from there and was damaged beyond repair.
15/11/1939 L2008 Hurricane 1
Operated by 11 Group Pool.
Aircraft collided with the taxying Hurricane L2007 and was damaged beyond repair.
15/11/1939 L2069 Hurricane 1
Operated by 11 Group Pool.
Aircraft collided with the taxying Hurricane L2008 on take-off from R.A.F St Athan and crashed. L2008 was damaged beyond repair.
05/12/1939 L3377 Henley 1
Operated by 7 B.G.S.
Aircraft crashed in force landing near Cowbridge.
