The resident Prentice G-AOLP was the operator for the first departure and then the first arrival for 1960. The former Cardiff Ultra Light flying School operated Tipsy was seemingly finally transferred across from Pengam although the renowned writer Geoff Jones indicated that it was back in 1958 that Pengam closed down.

The visit of Dakota EI-ACD was interesting in so as it arrived from Dublin but departed to Swansea rather than the normal Bristol. It subsequently arrived back ex EGFH and finally away to Dublin at 13:59

Of note, based Ce.170 carried out a forced landing at nearby Llandow airfield upon take off on 11/1b at 11:24. It landed safely and returned to the airport some 40 minutes later. Tipsy G-AISA made a trip to Pengam on 6/2 for a night away whilst Prentice G-AOLP made the short hop over on 7/2. On 14/2 the Tipsy made a further trip to Pengam Airfield. On 20/2 based Auster G-ANFU flew to Pengam and was joined on the return by Cardiff Aero Club owned Auster G-AHSW which appears to have transferred its base on that date.

These list's above do not include any of the extra "sports" related flights for the period 6-13/3 except for the two first visits for the "new" Viscount and their first visit dates.
There was a lack of Aer Lingus flights from the 13th to the 30th as a result of the management of Aer Lingus taking action against Pilots and this resulted in industrial action in the form of a strike. For eighteen days Aer Lingus had to "borrow" aircraft from other airlines to cover the period of the strike. The "borrowed" aircraft were -
