EVENTS for 30th September

On 30th September 1941 Defiant I N1681 of 125 Sqn had a tyre burst on landing at Fairwood Common. The a/c swung, hit boulders, tipped up and had its undercarriage collapse. Became 2981M on 05/03/42.
