On 28th September 1941 Spitfire I L1027 of 53 OTU stalled on landing at Llandow causing the undercarriage to collapse, damaging the a/c beyond repair.
Also on 28th September 1941 Spitfire I L1041 of 53 OTU bellylanded after the undercarriage had been damaged on an attempted overshoot at Llandow, the a/c was damaged beyond repair.
