EVENTS for 25th June

On 25th June 1942 Spitfire I's X4427 & X4996 of 53 OTU collided on a formation practise flight. X4427 crashed 1/2 mile south of Rhoose whilst X4996 appears to have landed safely, being eventually struck off charge on 26th February 1945.
